About DAIKAIJUZINE

pr. dye-KYE-joo-zeen

Daikaijuzine is a semiannual webzine dedicated to high quality speculative fiction: science fiction, fantasy, horror, and even mainstream fiction if it tickles our fancy. We’re dedicated to diversity in storytelling and content, because these are complex times and people have complex needs. We aim to present you with stories and articles that make you think, that challenge you, that stretch your horizons, and possibly even give you a good laugh. If a story makes you go, “That’s funny, I never thought of it that way before,” then it’s a Daikaijuzine story. We’ll offer columnists who tackle philosophical problems and writers who talk about the history of warfare. It’s going to be fun.

Instead of quarterly “issues”, Daikaijuzine will have quarterly “releases”, numbered appropriately and with appropriate codewords. The first release is Release 1.0 (Godzilla). In addition, we’ll be updating the site with monthly release patches featuring reviews, classic stories, and other content. Our major releases will come out on the solstices and equinoxes: September 21, December 21, and so on.

Fiction and articles will be available for free on the Daikaijuzine website; we’ll also be distributing our content via RSS feeds, for people who prefer to receive content that way. But because we provide stories and articles and more all for free, and because we are a paying market, we urge you to spend some money at the Store, through our Amazon partnership, or just donate some cash to us via PayPal.  You can find all the links you need for giving us money to the sidebar on the right.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop a line to Richard S. Crawford, publisher and editor in chief, at editor@daikaijuzine.com. And for information about contributing to Daikaijuzine, including our pay rates, please see our submission guidelines.

The copyright to all content in Daikaijuzine, unless otherwise indicated, belongs to the authors, who retain all rights to their work beyond those purchased by Daikaijuzine.

Daikaijuzine is in no way whatsoever associated with Toho Ltd. which owns the trademarks to the characters Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and other daikaiju which may be mentioned here from time to time. The use of their names here are not meant to be a challenge to the trademarks held by Toho, Ltd.

Nor do we have anything to do with the monster surf rock band Daikaiju, even though they are cool and you should check them out.
