The Void

Andromeda calls me
and I wish I could answer
she’s far
so far, so distant
and there’s no vehicle yet
that can take me there
no way to journey
save through my mind
and I long to soar among
the stars, the comets,
the void
and if the darkness
swallows me,
at least I’ll be lost
where I live
out among the stars
